What is the life expectancy of a Sensoterra sensor?

In a controlled environment, the battery should last more than 5 years. Due to climate, general use, and other variables, we've proven a 3-year life expectancy of the sensor. 

When the sensor has reached the end of its life, it can be returned to Sensoterra for recycling.
